MUSIC - A classic Nashville music spot, Bluebird Cafe is a listening room where you can check out some of the biggest songwriters performing their own material. Every now and again you can catch a huge name in country music dropping in for a short set.
FOOD - Originally Houston's, Bricktop's remains a Nashville staple.
PARKS - One of our favorite parts of Nashville! Cheekwood is perfect for a mellow afternoon of walking through beautiful gardens and checking out the historic mansion and art exhibits on grounds.
FOOD - Easily Preston's favorite lunch spot in Nashville. Great salads and sandwiches, but you are ordering wrong if you don't go for the tomato soup and grilled cheese with ham with a fruit tea to drink. The Greenhouse in the back also surprisingly turns into a pretty lively bar scene at night!
FOOD - Great spot in Germantown to check out for dinner or brunch!
FOOD - If you want to partake in the widely recognized Nashville hot chicken scene, this is not a bad place to start. With multiple locations and great sides, Hattie B's knows what they are doing when it comes to hot chicken. Would highly recommend against the "Shut the Cluck Up" heat level - it is as bad as it sounds.
FOOD - One of our favorite brunches in Nashville. Seafood-forward food offerings and great cocktails!
FOOD - If you are willing to put in some waiting on the weekends, the biscuits at Loveless will not disappoint. What used to be a motel and restaurant in the 1950's still is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A little bit out of central Nashville, but right next to Natchez Trace Parkway if a scenic drive after breakfast is up your alley!
FOOD - One of the best sushi spots in Nashville. Go with friends and split as much as you can of the menu - we are yet to be disappointed with anything they whip up!
FOOD - One of Nashville's favorites for dinner. The Optimist does seafood so well and is another spot where splitting as many menu items as possible is in your best interest. Don't miss their upstairs bar Le Loup.
BARS - Perfect if you need a break from live music. Pins Mechanical has tons of retro games including Duckpin Bowling, Pinball, arcade games, bocce, and more!
MUSIC - A staple on lower Broad for a good reason! Robert's keeps it classic when it comes to country music and does not mess around with the pop-country scene. One of the only honky-tonks on Broadway that still has a food menu, and I am sure it is the only place where you can still order a fried bologna sandwich.
FOOD - Casual and delicious sit-down spot in Belle Meade. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here at breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
MUSIC - If you have a few extra nights in Nashville and there is a concert that peaks your interest at the Ryman, go! It is as special of a place as it sounds. The Ryman also offers tours throughout the week for those who want to visit and learn more about the mother church.
FOOD - For our Texas crowd who might be interested in a delicious tex-mex dinner spot, Superica is the place!
BARS - Tootsie's is considered one of the most famous honky-tonks. Massively famous musicians would come hang out in the back bar at Tootsie's between sets when the Opry was still held at the Ryman. Tootsie's still remains one of the best spots on lower Broad. With three different stages spanning the three floors, it's hard not to find a band you like!
FOOD - One of our favorite neighborhood dinner spots in one of our favorite neighborhoods in Nashville. answer has great cocktails and delicious but approachable meals in low-key Sylvan Park.
PARKS - The best walking trails in town! 3,100 acres of hikes and paved paths to enjoy.
